UBT is a global enterprise supporting clients across 19 countries with business advisory and group buying services. From consulting, training, in-house business coaching to accounting and sourcing operational business services, UBT’s people are its greatest strength.
The Business Problem
Over 10 years UBT grew from a group of volunteers to a global business employing around 400 people. UBT’s key challenge was to build and maintain a strong consistent culture. To achieve this, they needed a technology platform which all employees could access, that would house all employee details as well as relevant content, from news to policies, from guidelines to strategies.
How we helped
WebVine’s solution for UBT was to work with their communications, HR and IT teams and develop a geo-sensitive intranet. We achieved this through the rapid implementation of a Digital Workplace. UBT named their new Injio Digital Workplace “The Hive”. Some of the features that were implemented to help drive organisational outcomes included the “MD Corner”: a space for senior management to create connection with global staff and a mini dashboard showing essential KPIs including a customer and employee NPS Score and Revenue at a Glance which has been popular in driving awareness and engagement. WebVine ran a series of workshops to create the IA, created new SharePoint document libraries for forms, policies, guidelines and contracts and a search interface within the Injio home page, ensuring the platform would house one source of truth for essential resources.
Some of the practical benefits already in play include:
- A decrease of email usage and its associated time wastage as internal communications department shares news via the Injio home page carousel and colour-coded announcements.
- Improved day to day efficiency facilitated by staff easily finding and contacting each other by location, team or relevant skills and easily checking the time in different offices with the world clock widget.
- Greater staff satisfaction and retention as more supported, connected teams achieve their goals and the UBT culture is reinforced.
